How it works
Three things, and the third is the one that matters: the text can keep changing after the book is designed.
Connect the Doc
One Google Doc, or several stacked in order — one per chapter, say. Headings, lists, tables and pictures arrive as themselves.
Design it as a book
Page size, margins, master spreads, running heads, type styles, table rules, linked pictures, page breaks. A real paginated book, not a preview of a document.
Fetch again, keep the design
When the words change in the Doc, fetch. Your styling, breaks and placements stay with the paragraphs they belong to. Print a PDF, or publish the same book as a web page.
What stays yours
The tool runs entirely in your browser. There is no server holding your work.
Full linking to files on your drive needs Chrome or Edge. In Firefox and Safari the tool runs, but pictures are copied into the document instead, because those browsers do not offer that capability yet.

Made for reports, not slides
The things a 140-page report needs and a document editor never quite gives you.
Pages, masters, spreads
A4, A3, A5 or your own size. Mirror margins, running heads, folios, page backgrounds — set once per master, applied to the pages you choose.
Tables you can actually style
Select a cell, a row, a column or the whole table. Rules and dividers one at a time. Split a long table across pages and set each half's margins.
Pictures that stay in the text
In the flow, floated, or free on the page; scaled past the column into the margins; cropped, framed, linked or embedded. Vector drawings stay vector.
Type styles from the Doc
Headings, body, lead, lists — mapped from the Doc's own styles, adjustable everywhere at once, with per-block overrides where you need them.
A web version, in the same clothes
The same book as a responsive page, wearing the report's typefaces and colours, with sizes, indents and pictures adapted to a screen.
Print production
Bleed, crop marks, a real @page size. Export the PDF from the browser's own print dialog — nothing uploaded, nothing watermarked.
